What is Psychotherapy/Counselling? Karen Brown

Counselling / Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that provides you with your very own space and time set aside just for you to explore aspects of your life, past, present and future in a confidential and independent setting.

During the first session, we discuss what has brought you to therapy, and what it is you would like to work on.  You devise and design your OWN goals and aims and what it is you want to achieve along your own personal journey.

These sessions are your own way of exploring, discussing and finding solutions and resolutions to those issues that have been impacting on your life, in a highly confidential and independent way.

Clients I have seen over the years do not always have some burning issue or problem that is interfering with their life.  Many have arranged a course to aid their self-development and/or self-awareness.

After SIX sessions, we evaluate progress made and you decide if you would like to continue.  Sometimes, the original goal, aim or outcome  changes.  Hence, I merely move with you in the direction you wish to go, bringing my wealth of skills and strategies with you to enhance your therapeutic journey.

When working with Karen, she has a unique style that she has developed within her skill set. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Karen and she has a wonderful, caring nature which comes through in her therapy and I will remember the hypnotherapy I experienced with Karen for a long time to come.
